A Little Dream in the Making: My First Tiny Mail Club

There are some ideas that arrive fully formed, and others that quietly grow with you over time. My Tiny Mail Club has definitely been the second kind.

For such a long time, I have dreamed of creating something that would bring together everything I love: tiny paintings, beautiful art materials, thoughtful details and the simple joy of receiving something special through the post. And now, after months of ideas, sketches, testing, painting and planning, I can hardly believe I am releasing my very first Mail Club.

It feels like such a special moment for Art by FSL — and, if I am honest, a slightly emotional one too.

More than a parcel

I didn't want the Mail Club to feel like a collection of random art supplies placed in an envelope. I wanted each edition to tell a story.

Every month will have its own theme, colour palette and mood. I will curate and create everything around that little world, from the artwork and painting prompts to the stickers, watercolour dot card and the letter tucked inside.

The first edition is End of Summer — a final celebration of bright skies, warm days, seaside colours and those little moments we want to hold onto before the season begins to change.

Inside the first envelope, members will receive:

  • A 12 × 12 cm hero art print

  • Three A5 Colour Me watercolour cards

  • A three-colour handmade watercolour dot card

  • A set of nine die-cut stickers

  • Tiny Philosophy and Tiny Visual Diary stickers

  • A Studio Letter from me

  • A monthly painting prompt card

I have chosen, painted, designed or made every part of it myself. Even the watercolour dots are being mixed and poured by hand in my studio. That personal, handmade feeling matters enormously to me. I want opening the envelope to feel like receiving a tiny parcel from one creative friend to another.

Why real post still feels magical

We live in such a digital world, and I love how online lessons and communities allow us to create together wherever we live. But there is still something magical about real post.

There is something lovely about hearing an envelope land on the doormat, opening it slowly and discovering what someone has chosen and made for you. It asks us to pause for a moment.

That is exactly what I hope the Tiny Mail Club will do. Not simply give you something pretty to keep, but encourage you to sit down, try the colours, sketch an idea and enjoy a small pocket of creative time for yourself.

You do not need to be an experienced artist. The heart of everything I create is helping people build confidence and a gentle, regular painting habit. Sketch it. Trace it. Paint it. Colour it. There is no pressure for perfection — only an invitation to begin.

From a notebook idea to Edition 001

Seeing all the pieces of this first collection together has been quite surreal. What began as notes, rough sketches and lots of “what if?” conversations is now a real envelope that will soon be travelling to members around the world.

This is Edition 001, which makes it feel even more special. It is the beginning of something I hope will become a beautiful, collectible series of tiny seasonal stories.

I have loved curating every detail, but the thought that these envelopes will soon be opened in other people's homes is the most exciting part of all. I hope they bring inspiration, a little moment of calm and that wonderful feeling of being part of a creative community.

I genuinely cannot believe I get to say this: my first Tiny Mail Club is now open.

Thank you to everyone who has encouraged this idea, shared their thoughts and cheered me on while I brought it to life. You have helped make a little dream real, and I cannot wait to pack and send Edition 001.
